The Heroes Center Non-Profit
Board Member | 2025 - Current
Provides all Veterans with the necessary resources to transition into civilian life successfully. We address the tough issues facing Veterans, such as transitional housing, job placement, and the challenges of connecting in the community. The Heroes Center approach is three-fold:
Retreat and Renewal: Through a collaborative relationship with a generous donor, we provide weekend retreats and opportunities for active-duty military and Veteran families to be renewed on a private farm at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Mt. Airy, NC.
Veteran Assistance: The Heroes Center is the only 501 (c) (3) in the Triad providing wrap-around services to the veteran community. Excluding weekends and holidays in 2022, the organization responded to a veteran assistance request every day last year.
Community Building: Veterans from across the state come together in High Point for social enrichment, camaraderie, and moral support.
